Kobe Bryant: (Shoulder) Shut Down Decision Will Be Made Monday

Bryant (shoulder) is scheduled to be examined again Monday and a decision about whether he will be shut down for the season will be made at that time.

Analysis:

It is widely expected that Bryant's season is over after suffering a torn rotator cuff, but the Lakers will not make any official declarations until after his examination Monday. Even if the Lakers do not rule him out for the season, he will miss so much time with this injury that holding him in most single-season formats does not make much sense. Look for Wayne Ellington, Nick Young and Jordan Clarkson to all see extended minutes in Bryant's absence.
