DeAndre Jordan on huge dunk: 'I just want to thank my hands for being so great'

Richard Mackson-USA TODAY Sports

Some dudes just got it like that. Count Los Angeles Clippers center DeAndre Jordan among them.

One of the NBA's most prolific purveyors of the aerial arts, Jordan is consistently among the league's top dunkers, both by volume and by highlight quality. He put that on full display Thursday, throwing down a massive alley-oop over Brook Lopez, Mason Plumlee and the Brooklyn Nets.

Introspective after the fact, Jordan found himself more humbled than braggadocios. After all, he didn't give himself these gifts.

"I just want to thank my hands for being so great," Jordan said.

It's those hands that have Jordan leading the league in dunks with 129 - 24 more than any other player. Of those, 106 have been assisted, with many of those passes requiring athletic corrals and finishes like the one from Thursday, which you can see in the story below.
