Amir Johnson put forth a gutsy performance Friday against the Brooklyn Nets, playing his best game of the season and playing more than eight minutes of crunch time with five fouls. He shot 10-of-11 from the floor on his way to 24 points and seven rebounds, helping his Toronto Raptors salvage an overtime game they nearly coughed up earlier.

Even more impressive than his stat line and playing through foul trouble is that Johnson also played through what appears to be a very painful injury. On Saturday, Johnson posted a photo of his left big toe, which lost the nail on it completely.

It's unclear what, exactly, a Raptainan is, but Johnson continues to cultivate his reputation as a tough-as-nails player who battles through myriad minor injuries to stay on the floor. He's missed just 11 games over the past four seasons and 21 over the past six, despite being one of the most physical contributors on the Raptors and often dealing with ankle and shoulder ailments.

In 44 games, Johnson is averaging 9.9 points and 5.8 rebounds in 26.6 minutes, shooting 58.6 percent from the floor.
