VIDEO: Rudy Gay finishes botched Kings alley-oop

Kelley L Cox-USA TODAY Sports

Rudy Gay and Ben McLemore are both fairly well-known for their high-flying theatrics, making the Sacramento Kings in transition one of the league's more entertaining situations.

That was not exactly the case on Monday, with the athletic wings nearly botching a four-on-one fast break.

With only poor C.J. McCollum back to protect the Portland Trail Blazers' rim, Gay threw a lob for McLemore that should have been an emphatic alley-oop. Instead, McCollum made a great play on the ball, forcing McLemore to lose the ball off glass. Gay was nearly there for the flush to finish but didn't get quite the air on his jump, pushing the finish in awkwardly.

DOUBLE ALLEY OOP SORT OF

That's about as ugly a four-on-one finish with a pair of aerial artists as you're going to see.
