VIDEO: Tyreke Evans sinks Raptors with last-second shot

Derick E. Hingle-USA TODAY Sports

It's come to this: The Toronto Raptors lost to a shorthanded New Orleans Pelicans missing both Jrue Holiday and Anthony Davis.

Despite a 40-12 run at one point, the Raptors found themselves tied with the Pelicans at 93 apiece.

That set the stage for Pelicans small forward Tyreke Evans, who was curiously checked by the Raptors' slowest perimeter defender Greivis Vasquez. Oddly enough, the Raptors could have made a substitution in the dead-ball scenario and swapped in James Johnson, but Raptors head coach Dwane Casey went with Vasquez, which ended in rather predictable fashion.
