Power forward Dwight Powell is an NBA rookie who played a career-high 29 minutes for the Dallas Mavericks on Wednesday with Dirk Nowitzki and Tyson Chandler on the bench.
In the second quarter, the Canadian had a nice slam, blowing past Kenneth Faried of the Denver Nuggets.
But Faried got even in the fourth quarter, rejecting the rookie with the authority of an NBA veteran.
Faried's Nuggets got the last laugh too, beating the undermanned Mavs 114-107.
