Brandon Jennings fined $15K for making obscene gesture

Nick Turchiaro-USA TODAY Sports

The bar continues to get lower for what constitutes an obscene gesture in the NBA.

Red-hot Detroit Pistons point guard Brandon Jennings was fined $15,000 by the NBA on Wednesday for making an obscene gesture in Monday's game against the Toronto Raptors.

The gesture didn't draw a great deal of attention at the time and largely went unnoticed.

However, the league office obviously didn't appreciate Jennings doing a stationary version of Sam Cassell's marbles dance. The gesture wasn't noticeable on the Raptors' broadcast, but some enterprising fans were able to catch Jennings in the act.

Jennings, who had 34 points and 10 assists in the game, had just hit a go-ahead 3-pointer with 2:58 to play.
