Stephen Curry is going to break a lot of shooting records before all is said and done.

Already the single-season record holder for made 3-pointers (272 in 2012-13), the Golden State Warriors superstar became the fastest player in NBA history to knock down 1,000 triples, reaching the millennial mark with his first made 3 against the Indiana Pacers on Wednesday night.

Curry hit the plateau in 369 games, breaking the previous record of 457 games held by Dennis Scott.

What makes Curry such a singularly remarkable shooter is the warp-speed release and lethal pull-up that engenders his unprecedented blend of prolific and efficient shooting. He's never averaged fewer than 4.6 3-point attempts per game, nor has he finished a season shooting lower than 42.4 percent from distance (though he's currently clanking away at 39.2 percent).

By the end of Wednesday's game, Curry had nudged his career total to 1,003 made 3-pointers, and midway through his sixth NBA season, the 26-year-old looks to have a good shot at Ray Allen's all-time mark of 2,973.
