Cavaliers' Shumpert expected to be out at least another 2 weeks

The Cleveland Cavaliers knew when they traded for Iman Shumpert in a three-team deal with the New York Knicks and Oklahoma City Thunder that they wouldn't have the guard in uniform right away. But they might be waiting even longer than originally anticipated.

Shumpert is expected to be out at least another two weeks as he recovers from a dislocated left shoulder, according to multiple reports.

The fourth-year guard suffered the injury in early December as a member of the Knicks, whom he began his career with before getting traded to the Cavaliers Monday.

Shumpert and J.R. Smith were shipped to Cleveland in a salary dump that created financial flexibility for New York. Smith could make his Cavaliers debut Wednesday when Cleveland hosts the Houston Rockets if the trade becomes official in time.
