Lin, Young engage in hilarious exchange at Lakers event
By the sounds of it, the Los Angeles Lakers' all-access event Tuesday at Staples Center was the place to be.
Nick Young - the artist known as Swaggy P - unfiltered? Check. The colorful swingman, one of the NBA's biggest characters, provided more entertainment for Lakers fans than they've seen on the court all season.
Jeremy Lin, perhaps the most underrated quote in the league, matched Young's soundbites, and it was, by all accounts, a fun night.

Lin: "I'm single."
Young: "How are you single?"
Lin: "Because I'm not dating anyone Nick."

Jeremy Lin was talking about Harvard. Nick Young said USC is the best school. Lin quipped, "Yeah, I heard they do your homework for you."

Lakers superstar Kobe Bryant wasn't exempt from the duo's conversation.
Young on Kobe: "He has no filter. He just talks and talks and talks."
Lin: "That's ironic."
Young: "What?"
Lin: "Nothing. Keep going."

Young on Kobe's practice rant: "I went home and my girlfriend was calling me soft like tissue. That kind of stuff hurts me."

The comment came after Bryant ripped into his teammates at a practice, calling the team soft like Charmin tissue paper.
Young on Kobe: "Once you get to that level you're supposed to be like that. You're supposed to be a little off."

And, of course, Young explained how the nickname Swaggy P was born.

The 11-24 Lakers may not have much to celebrate this season, but with Swaggy P, Lin and Bryant in the mix, they're as entertaining as any team in the league.
