Lakers' Price probable to play Wednesday despite fractured nose

Steve Dykes-USA TODAY Sports

Los Angeles Lakers point guard Ronnie Price is probable to play Wednesday against the Los Angeles Clippers despite being diagnosed with a broken nose, Mark Medina of the Los Angeles Daily News reports.

Price received an elbow from Portland Trail Blazers power forward Thomas Robinson on Monday. The injury forced Price to leave the game, and he received 11 stitches to repair a cut.

Despite the injury, Price insisted to reporters that he will not wear a protective mask, something teammate Ed Davis - who also has a broken nose - is choosing to do.

Price currently serves as the Lakers' starting point guard. If he is unable to go, Jeremy Lin will likely start, with Kobe Bryant shoulder a greater bulk of playmaking responsibilities.
