Spurs' Parker ruled out again Saturday

Jennifer Stewart-USA TODAY Sports

The San Antonio Spurs will once again be shorthanded for Saturday's clash against the Washington Wizards

Tony Parker and Kawhi Leonard have both been ruled out for the Spurs' home game at AT&T Center, the team announced

Parker, who is suffering from a left hamstring strain, will miss his fifth consecutive game, while Leonard (bruised right hand) is set to be on the sidelines for his 10th straight contest.

The Spurs are going through a rough patch and have struggled without the pair in the lineup, going 3-6 since Leonard's hand injury forced him out of action. San Antonio is 6-7 without Parker, who has played in only 21 of the team's 34 games this season.

Parker has been his usual self when he's on the court, averaging 16.2 points on 51.5 percent shooting from the field and 5.2 assists in 31 minutes per game. What's most impressive is that the 14-year veteran, who has never been known for his abilities beyond the arc, is shooting a blistering 62.1 percent from long range on 29 attempts.

There's no timetable for either of Parker or Leonard's returns. Jeff McDonald of the San Antonio Express-News, however, said the expectation is that Parker will return first and maybe only need a couple more games to recover.
