Cavaliers' Love to return from back spasms Friday

Brett Davis-USA TODAY Sports

Kevin Love will return to the lineup when the injury-ravaged Cleveland Cavaliers take on the Charlotte Hornets on Friday.

"I'm going to give it a go," Love said Friday morning.

The All-Star big man missed Wednesday's loss to the Milwaukee Bucks with back spasms after leaving Tuesday's loss to the Atlanta Hawks early.

The Cavaliers, already without LeBron James for at least the next two weeks, have lost three straight games to fall to 18-14, 4.5 games behind the Central Division-leading Chicago Bulls and six games behind the Eastern Conference-leading Toronto Raptors.

Love is averaging 16.7 points, 10.1 rebounds and 2.4 assists while posting a PER of 17.87 in his first season in Cleveland, the worst mark of his seven-year career.
