Spurs' Parker to sit again New Year's Eve

Head coach Gregg Popovich said Sunday the San Antonio Spurs shouldn't be without Tony Parker too much longer. However, Parker will close out 2014 on the sidelines, as he continues to rest a nagging left hamstring injury.
Wednesday will be the 13th time in the last 18 games Parker won't play, and the Spurs have had some struggles without he and small forward Kawhi Leonard, who is out with a hand injury.
Backup point guard Cory Joseph has played well in Parker's absence.
