Rodney Stuckey to play through facial contusion Saturday

Tim Fuller / USA Today Sports

Rodney Stuckey will suit up and play for the Indiana Pacers on Saturday despite suffering a facial contusion during Friday's game.

Stuckey participated in shootaround before the game and felt well enough to help take on the Brooklyn Nets. He was injured in the third quarter of Friday's game, taking an arm to the face courtesy of Andre Drummond on a drive to the basket.

This should stand as a positive in the momentum column for Stuckey, who has struggled to stay on the floor this season due to a handful of minor injuries. In 23 games, he's averaging 12 points, 3.7 rebounds and 2.9 assists, thoguh he's shooting just 40.7 percent from the floor.

He may even end up drawing the start at shooting guard on Saturday with C.J. Miles and C.J. Watson both sidelined with illness. That would mark his 18th start of the season, a role he's been slightly more efficient and effective in so far.
