Pacers' George Hill to make season debut Tuesday
After missing 28 games to a bruised left knee and a torn ligament in his quadriceps, George Hill will make his 2014-15 debut for the Indiana Pacers on Tuesday.
Head coach Frank Vogel said Hill will play limited minutes off the bench in his first game. C.J. Watson has been starting at the point recently, supplanting Donald Sloan, but the role is likely Hill's once he's back in game shape.
Last season, Hill appeared in 76 games for the Pacers, averaging 10.3 points, 3.7 rebounds and 3.5 assists while shooting 44.2 percent from the floor and 36.5 percent from long range. Those numbers may seem modest, but they'll be warmly received in a Pacers rotation that has struggled to score, ranking 29th in offensive efficiency.
At the very least, one more player capable of averaging low double-digit points will at least add to the team's staggering offensive balance.
