Korver leads surging Hawks past Rockets

No Jeff Teague, no problem.

The Atlanta Hawks won for the 12th time in 13 games with a 104-97 victory over the Houston Rockets on Saturday.

Kyle Korver powered Atlanta with a game-high 22 points on 7-of-12 shooting from the field and nailed 4-of-8 shots from long range. The sharpshooter also set a Hawks franchise record by sinking his 49th straight free throw.

Korver is having a historic season and somehow shooting better than ever before. He entered Saturday boasting career highs of 51.5 percent shooting from the field, 54.1 percent from long range and 96 percent from the line.

Paul Millsap, DeMarre Carroll and Al Horford all scored in double figures, while Dennis Schroder made his second career start in place of Teague – who was out with a hamstring strain – and chipped in with eight points, six assists and six rebounds.

Houston's James Harden scored 18 points and dished out a career-high 14 assists, while Dwight Howard added 19 points and 11 rebounds in the loss. The duo also hooked up for an alley-oop with Howard playing the role of point guard.
