Report: Multiple teams have inquired about Suns' Goran Dragic

Multiple teams are looking at the Phoenix Suns as a potential trading partner in an effort to bolster their depth at the guard position.

Phoenix has a strong backcourt trio and seven-year veteran Goran Dragic is the player teams are most interested in acquiring, according to Ken Berger of CBS Sports

Dragic can become a free agent at the end of the season if he declines his $7.5-million player option, while Isaiah Thomas and Eric Bledsoe are both signed to long-term deals. Berger notes, however, that rival executives believe Phoenix is less inclined to move Dragic than the others and would like to sign the 28-year-old to a long-term contract.

"Right now, I'm going to be 100 percent focused on the team and helping the team," Dragic said about the trade rumors. "If it's going to happen, then it happens. The only thing that I can do is be professional and try to be ready every game and help my teammates. In the end, we're going to see."

The Suns chose to go guard heavy this offseason, re-signing Bledsoe and obtaining Thomas from the Sacramento Kings in a sign-and-trade despite Dragic still being under contract and so far the strategy has worked.

Player PPG APG TS% PER
Dragic 16.2 4.2 58.1 17.5
Thomas 15.3 3.8 58.4 20.9
Bledsoe 15.4 5.8 55.4 17.2

Phoenix is 11-6 when all three play and is on the bubble of a playoff spot in the loaded Western Conference with a 14-14 record.
