Grizzlies' Allen will not play Friday

The Memphis Grizzlies will be without their best wing defender when they take on the Chicago Bulls on Friday.

Tony Allen is still feeling the effects of an eye injury, reports Nick Friedell of ESPN.

Allen was poked in the eye in the Grizzlies' win against the Golden State Warriors on Tuesday. He was spotted with a bandage after the game.

Allen, a three-time All-Defensive Team member, is averaging 7.7 points, 4.2 rebounds, 2.0 steals and 1.5 assists. The Grizzlies will likely start Tayshaun Prince and Courtney Lee to fill out the wing.
