Report: Rockets add Shved in Brewer deal, release Garcia

Brace Hemmelgarn-USA TODAY Sports

The Houston Rockets' reported trade for Minnesota Timberwolves swingman Corey Brewer has grown to include Philadelphia 76ers guard Alexey Shved, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo Sports

The deal, as currently reported, sees the Timberwolves receiving a pair of second-round picks and guard Troy Daniels from Houston, while the Rockets receive Brewer and Shved. The Sixers pick up center Ronnie Turiaf in exchange for a second-round pick from Minnesota.

Shved is averaging 9.9 points and 2.7 assists in 16.8 minutes, and should slot into the Rockets' rotation, competing for minutes alongside fellow guards Jason Terry and Isaiah Canaan.

In order to facilitate the move, the Rockets released swingman Francisco Garcia, who averaged 3.2 points in just 14.3 minutes.
