Wade almost outscores Heat teammates in ugly loss to Jazz

Robert Mayer-USA TODAY Sports

Dwyane Wade turned back the clock Wednesday night.

Wade dropped 42 points for the Miami Heat against the Utah Jazz, but it was all for naught as Utah won in a walk, 105-87. The Jazz stormed out to a 33-16 lead in the first quarter and never looked back.

Wade was the story, though.

He hit 12-of-19 shots from the floor and 16-of-21 free throws, while adding four rebounds and three assists. His teammates combined for a pathetic 45 points.

Gordon Hayward had a night for the Jazz, scoring 29 points on 9-of-13 shooting, including 4-of-5 from deep. He also had six rebounds and seven assists, as Utah won its seventh of the season and third on the road.

The Jazz shot 53 percent from the floor, while the Heat made only 27 of their 70 field-goal attempts.

It was a disastrous game for the Heat, but for one night, the Wade of old was back. There were even MVP chants. Never forget, Miami.
