Robin Lopez: (Hand) Out 6-to-7 Weeks

Lopez will be sidelined 6-to-7 weeks due to the fractured right hand suffered during Monday's game against the Spurs, The Oregonian reports.

Analysis:

Lopez himself revealed the news, as well as the extent of the injury -- broken third and fourth metacarpals -- and now that a timetable is evident, coach Terry Stotts can proceed with cobbling together a revised frontcourt rotation. More than likely, Stotts will turn to Joel Freeland next to LaMarcus Aldridge in the starting five in order to retain Chris Kaman's services off the bench. Behind Freeland and Kaman, Thomas Robinson and Meyers Leonard are sure to factor into the equation, but their expected workloads are more untenable. No matter how Stotts operates in the interim, it appears that Lopez's next possible appearance lands on Jan. 26 in Brooklyn, if all goes well with his recovery.
