Oklahoma City Thunder (11-13) at Sacramento Kings (11-13), 10:30 p.m. (ET)

(SportsNetwork.com) - This isn't Tyrone Corbin's first rodeo.

Corbin was recently head coach of the Utah Jazz and will serve the Sacramento Kings on an interim basis after Mike Malone was fired earlier this week. Corbin and the Kings get to work Tuesday versus the upstart Oklahoma City Thunder in the continuation of a five-game homestand.

The Kings made the move after they fell to 2-8 in the past 10 games. The season started with promise at 5-1, but now the Kings are two games under .500 with an 11-13 record.

"This was an extremely difficult decision, but one we feel is in the best interest of the franchise moving forward," said Kings general manager Pete D'Alessandro.

Corbin, Malone's lead assistant, spent the last four seasons as head coach of the Jazz. He coached Utah to a playoff appearance in the lockout-shortened 2011-12 campaign, but left the Jazz with a 112-146 record.

Malone went 39-67 with Sacramento, which hasn't had star big man DeMarcus Cousins because of a viral infection. Cousins has missed the last nine games (2-7) and is sidelined indefinitely. He is averaging 23.5 points and 12.6 rebounds.

The Kings lost for a third straight time in Saturday's 95-90 setback to lowly Detroit, as Rudy Gay led the team with 20 points and Carl Landry finished with 15 and 11 rebounds. Ben McLemore scored 14 points for Sacramento, which fell to 6-7 at home this season and is 0-2 on the stay.

Sacramento will also host the Milwaukee Bucks and Los Angeles Lakers, and is in the midst of playing 10 of 11 games in California's capital.

Gay has scored 20 or more points in seven of the last nine games and Darren Collison has reached that mark four times in the previous six.

The Thunder will play their next three games on the road against Sacramento, Golden State and the Lakers, and are 4-8 outside of OKC.

Oklahoma City has won six in a row and eight of the last nine games, including Sunday's 112-88 beating of the Phoenix Suns. The Thunder led 41-29 after the first quarter and scored 70 points in the first half. Russell Westbrook compiled 28 points to go along with eight rebounds and eight assists, while Kevin Durant finished with 23 points and Anthony Morrow added 14.

OKC shot 48.8 percent and has scored 100 or more points in four straight and seven of the past eight games. It posted a 63-40 advantage in rebounds.

"Combination of defending at a high level and moving the basketball," Thunder coach Scott Brooks said of the win.

Brooks' squad has won three in a row on the road.

In milestone news, Durant is three points shy of 15,000 in his career and the team is 6-1 since he returned from foot surgery.

Oklahoma City claimed a 101-93 victory against Sacramento on Nov. 9 in the first of four meetings this season. Gay led the way with 23 points and Reggie Jackson paced the Thunder with 22 points. Durant and Westbrook did not play.

OKC swept the 2013-14 series with Sacramento, 4-0, and has won 11 straight and 17 of the last 18 matchups between the Western foes. The Thunder have won four straight trips to Sacramento.
