Nets' Garnett out vs. Hornets

Kevin Garnett will not be in the lineup when the Brooklyn Nets take on the Charlotte Hornets on Saturday night.

Garnett left Wednesday's loss to the Chicago Bulls with a left foot issue, but X-rays came back negative and the veteran big man was in the lineup for Friday's victory over the Philadelphia 76ers. However, with the Nets on the second night of a back-to-back Saturday, this is an opportunity to rest KG.

This will mark the third game Garnett has missed this season.

Through 19 games, the 38-year-old is averaging 7.8 points, 8.4 rebounds and 1.8 assists in over 23 minutes per game.

Garnett will join fellow big men Brook Lopez (lower back strain) and Mirza Teletovic (hip pointer) on the sidelines against the Hornets.
