Tim Duncan passes Jerry West for 18th on all-time scoring list

San Antonio Spurs power forward Tim Duncan passed yet another all-time great on Friday, surpassing Jerry West to move into 18th on the all-time scoring list.

Duncan entered Friday's game against the Los Angeles Lakers trailing 14 points behind West's total. Duncan managed to beat West's output of 25,192 in the fourth quarter with a eight-foot turnaround bank shot with four minutes remaining.

With West in the rearview mirror, Duncan is well on his way to passing Reggie Miller, who holds claim to 17th with 25,279 career points scored.
