Rose scores 31 in Bulls' win over Blazers

Mike DiNovo-USA TODAY Sports

Chicago Bulls fans saw the Derrick Rose they love Friday night.

Rose scored a season-high 31 points - often attacking the basket - en route to a 115-106 win over the Portland Trail Blazers. The 31 were the most he's scored since March 12, 2012.

It was likely a satisfying result for Rose, as it was against Portland that he tore the meniscus in his right knee last season.

On the losing side, the Blazers got monster nights from LaMarcus Aldridge - who could seemingly hit from anywhere in the first half - and point guard Damian Lillard, who finished with 35 apiece.

The loss was Portland's second in a row after winning 14 of their previous 15.
