Raptors coach Dwane Casey on DeRozan: 'He can't move'

Injured Toronto Raptors star DeMar DeRozan shot free throws during a team practice Thursday, but there remains no timetable for his return.

DeRozan, who has yet to participate in practice, will be assessed on a week-to-week basis, but Raptors head coach Dwane Casey believes he has a long ways to go before returning.

"He can't move," Casey said, according to Ryan Wolstat of the Toronto Sun

DeRozan has been out since tearing the left adductor longus tendon in his groin in a Nov. 28 loss to the Dallas Mavericks. He was reportedly hopeful of returning within four weeks of sustaining the injury, but he'll have to start making some progress if that's to become a reality.

Toronto, which is an Eastern Conference-best 16-6 on the year, has gone 3-3 without DeRozan in the lineup.

The Raptors' shooting guard is averaging 19.4 points and 4.2 rebounds in 33.6 minutes per game.
