Spurs' Big 4 all out vs. Knicks

Adam Hunger-USA TODAY Sports

Not that they'll need it, but Gregg Popovich's San Antonio Spurs will be well rested when they take on the Los Angeles Lakers on Friday.

That's because Tim Duncan, Tony Parker, Manu Ginobili and Kawhi Leonard will all be on the sidelines for Wednesday's game against the Carmelo Anthony-less New York Knicks.

Parker will miss his third straight game since straining his hamstring Friday against the Memphis Grizzlies, while the Spurs announced earlier on Wednesday that Leonard would sit with a bruised right hand.

Duncan and Ginobili, meanwhile, will simply be rested against the Knicks, as the Spurs are on the second night of a back-to-back following a loss Tuesday in Utah.

Knicks fans will remain weary, however, as their team sits 4-19 and has lost nine straight games, while the Spurs have a history of at least competing in games where their stars sit.
