Magic's Vucevic questionable Wednesday with back sprain

Reinhold Matay-USA TODAY Sports

The Orlando Magic may be without center Nikola Vucevic for the fifth consecutive game Wednesday when they take on the Washington Wizards.

Vucevic, who has a sprained lower back, said he's feeling better and was hoping to participate in a portion of the Magic's practice Tuesday, according to Josh Robbins of the Orlando Sentintel. The 24-year-old considers himself day-to-day.

Orlando played four games of its recent six-game road trip without Vucevic - the team's leading scorer and rebounder - and went 3-3, including wins in its last two contests. Vucevic is averaging a career-high 18.6 points while hauling in 11.7 rebounds per game, good for fifth in the NBA.

If Vucevic can't go Wednesday, his next chance to play will be Friday against the Atlanta Hawks
