Pacers' Hill still weeks away from return

George Hill won't be returning to the Indiana Pacers anytime soon.

Hill, who was originally ruled out to start the season with a left knee contusion suffered in a preseason collision with Ricky Rubio of the Minnesota Timberwolves, was later found to have a tear in his left quadriceps.

Now Pacers coach Frank Vogel says Hill, who still hasn't played this season, is "a couple of weeks away," making it possible Indiana won't see its starting point guard until after Christmas.

Vogel also said Hill might return to non-contact portions of practice towards the end of this week.

The Pacers have remained competitive despite a slew of injuries so far this season, but, at 7-13, are going to need Hill back sooner rather than later.
