Blazers' Lillard playing through sprained fingers Sunday

Craig Mitchelldyer / USA Today Sports

As if a couple of sprained fingers were going to force Damian Lillard to miss an NBA game for the first time in his career.

Lillard's ironman streak - 183 consecutive regular season games played - seemed in a bit of trouble Thursday when he jammed his hand in a Portland Trail Blazers victory. He was diagnosed with a sprained right middle and ring finger, but he's suiting up on Sunday against the New York Knicks.

Missing Lillard would be completely new to the Blazers, who have been 4.4 points per-100 possessions better with him on the floor than without this season. One of the league's most respected crunch-time scorers, Lillard is averaging 19.9 points, 5.1 rebounds, 6.5 assists and 1.5 steals while hitting 40.7 percent of his threes.

Should the Blazers limit his minutes, Steve Blake has the most to gain. Though, that doesn't seem like it'll be an issue.

And so the streak rolls on.
