Pistons' Jennings will play Sunday vs. Warriors

Raj Mehta-USA TODAY Sports

The struggling Detroit Pistons will get a reinforcement for Sunday's contest against the Golden State Warriors

Point guard Brandon Jennings is set to return to the Pistons' starting lineup after missing three games with a left thumb injury, according to the Oakland Press's Dave Pemberton

D.J. Augustin, who scored in double figures all three games Jennings was out, heads back to the bench.

The Pistons, on a seven-game losing streak, will be in tough against the 13-2 Warriors. Detroit has lost 10 of its last 11 games and is a dreadful 3-13 on the year. The win-less Philadelphia 76ers (0-16) are the only team the Pistons are ahead of in the weak Eastern Conference.

Jennings is averaging 16.0 points and 5.8 assists while shooting a career-high 43.8 percent from the field.
