Garnett: 'I wanna shout the girls out on the baseline for talking that s---'

John Geliebter-USA TODAY Sports

Philadelphia, Kevin Garnett wants to thank you for getting loud.

The 0-15 76ers only mustered an announced attendance of 11,223 on Wednesday to watch their squad drop a close 99-91 decision to the Brooklyn Nets, but that small crowd acquitted itself quite well.

While it didn't help their team get off the schnide, the Nets were appreciative of the noise. Garnett, in particular, had a message for a certain group of loud 76ers fans:

I wanna shout the girls out on the baseline for talking that shit. Thank you.

I’m not gonna get into (what they said) - sorry Rod Thorn (for cursing) - but this was good. I’m glad they did that. They put a little kick in my juice, and I needed that.

Garnett only finished with nine points, nine rebounds and three assists, with just five second half points, but if he says it was extra motivation, then it was extra motivation. Do you want to argue with Garnett? He also had four steals and a block, and the Nets outscored the 76ers by three points in Garnett's eight fourth-quarter minutes.
