(SportsNetwork.com) - The Phoenix Suns will go for a perfect eastern swing on Monday night, but will face a stiff test in the Eastern Conference-leading Toronto Raptors.
Phoenix opened its road trip with a loss west, a setback to the Los Angeles Clippers, but since heading east, the Suns have been perfect. They knocked off the Boston Celtics, Detroit Pistons, Philadelphia 76ers and, on Saturday, toppled the Indiana Pacers.
Gerald Green dominated his former team with a game-high 23 points in Phoenix's 106-83 win over Indiana.
Coming off the Suns' bench, Green scored 12 of his points in the first quarter, including the final seven of the period for Phoenix. His 3-point shot as time expired gave the Suns the lead for good.
"That's the way I've been playing since I got traded," Green said. "I'm still doing the same stuff, the only difference now is that I play. I never played when I was here. I have something to prove every night."
Markieff Morris and Goran Dragic scored 13 and 11 points, respectively, and it was the Suns' bench that carried much of the load. In addition to Green's 23, Isaiah Thomas scored 16 as the Phoenix reserves totaled 63 points.
The Pacers struggled from the field for most of the game and shot just 36.9 percent overall and 7-of-23 from beyond the arc.
The Raptors have won four in a row and are the only team in the Eastern Conference with double-figure wins. Washington is 9-3 and idle Monday.
Perhaps their biggest victory of the season came on Saturday night when the Raptors went into Quicken Loans Arena and buried LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers, 110-93, on Saturday.
Louis Williams turned back the clock on Saturday, scoring a career-high 36 points off the bench to lead the Raptors over the floundering Cavaliers.
Williams shot 9-for-19 and made all 15 of his free throws to help the Raptors dig themselves out of an early 18-point hole and run away from the struggling Cavaliers. He has been a key part of Toronto's 11-2 start, reaching double digits in scoring in nine of the last 10 games.
"I just wanted to come in and play my style of basketball," said Williams. "Play with a lot of energy, create a spark. I think Cleveland did a great job of getting off to a good start. We needed a little spark and I think I was able to create that."
Kyle Lowry added 23 points and eight assists for the Raptors, who were coming off a 6-1 homestand. DeMar DeRozan finished with 20 for Toronto, which has eight wins at the Air Canada Centre, tying the Raptors for most home victories in the league.
The Raptors took care of the basketball, committing just eight turnovers. The Cavs had 20 miscues, which translated into 22 points for the Raptors.
The Suns swept last season's two meetings, but the Raptors had won three straight before that. Phoenix is 8-1 in its last nine north of the border.
