Report: Dwight Howard a 'potential go' Monday vs. Knicks

Jerome Miron-USA TODAY Sports

The Houston Rockets have been without Dwight Howard for two straight games now after he underwent a platelet-rich protein injection in his strained right knee, but the team may not have to wait much longer for their All-Star big man.

Howard is a "potential go" against the New York Knicks on Monday, reports Yahoo Sports' Adrian Wojnarowski, citing a league source.

After dropping their first game without Howard against the Los Angeles Lakers, the shorthanded Rockets upset the Dallas Mavericks on Saturday.

Howard is averaging 18.8 points, 11.3 rebounds and 2.3 blocks through 10 games so far this season. The Rockets have been 18.8 points per-100 possessions better with him on the court than without.
