VIDEO: Bosh nails game-winning fadeaway to drop Hornets
Chris Bosh was determined to finish off the Charlotte Hornets on the second night of a back-to-back.
And the Miami Heat center did just that.
Bosh drove down to the block before stopping, shaking, and nailing a fadeaway jumper over Cody Zeller to down the Hornets 94-93 on Sunday.
Hornets point guard Kemba Walker missed a pair of jumpers that would have given Charlotte the lead, and center Al Jefferson couldn't convert on a tip-in. It allowed the Heat to win for the second time in as many nights.
Bosh finished with 20 points and 10 rebounds - his sixth double-double of the season - while Mario Chalmers scored 12 of his 20 points in the fourth quarter and added 10 assists.
Luol Deng scored a team-high 26 points on 10-of-14 shooting from the field and hauled in eight rebounds in the victory.
The loss was the latest in what has been a disastrous start to the season for the Hornets. Charlotte fell to 4-10, losing its fifth consecutive game and seventh in eight tries.
There was plenty of preseason hype surrounding the Hornets after coming off a playoff appearance and signing Lance Stephenson to add to a core of Walker and Jefferson. But, so far, Charlotte has been among the NBA's most disappointing teams.
The Heat, meanwhile, improved to 8-6 on the year and 3-3 without shooting guard Dwyane Wade, who missed his sixth consecutive game Sunday with a strained left hamstring.
