Pelicans' Gordon will not return after sustaining shoulder injury

The New Orleans Pelicans will be without shooting guard Eric Gordon for the remainder of their Saturday night contest against the Utah Jazz.

Gordon sustained a shoulder injury in the first half against the Jazz, according to the team. He will not return.

Gordon has struggled out of the gate this season, averaging just 9.6 points on 38.6 percent shooting from the field. However, he did look to be breaking out of his slump of late, scoring in double figures over his last four contests.
