Bulls' Rose out Friday vs. Trail Blazers

Kelvin Kuo / USA Today Sports

The Chicago Bulls will continue to be without the services of starting point guard Derrick Rose on Friday, as the explosive guard will miss his fourth-consecutive game due to a strained left hamstring, reports Nick Friedell of ESPN.

Rose injured his hamstring last Thursday in a contest against the Toronto Raptors.

The Bulls' injury woes are compounded by injuries to backup point guard Kirk Hinrich, who will also miss Friday's contest against the Portland Trail Blazers due to a chest contusion.

Without both Rose and Hinrich, the Bulls will now turn to Aaron Brooks to shoulder most of the minutes at point guard. Brooks is averaging 10.5 points and 3.4 assists per game this season.

In addition to Rose and Hinrich, the Bulls will also be short power forward Pau Gasol, who is dealing with an injured calf.
