Analysis:

Ellington was allowed to take temporary leave after his father was murdered last weekend. He's missed five games now, and will be questionable for Friday. If he does play, he'll continue to serve as a a reserve and play around the 20 minutes he's averaged so far this season. If he doesn't participate Friday, it seems as if he would be able to play in the Lakers' next game Sunday against the Denver Nuggets.
