Carmelo Anthony: Playing Through Knee Soreness

Anthony briefly left Tuesday's game to go to the locker room but quickly returned to the game. It was revealed after the game that he's been playing through soreness in his left knee and plans to continue doing so, Newsday reports.

Analysis:

Anthony has undergone some testing on the knee, but both he and coach Derek Fisher told the media it wasn't a serious issue. At this point, managers shouldn't panic. He played 38 minutes Tuesday with the knee bothering him, so there's little reason to suspect he's going to let it keep him out going forward. Managers who are already dealing with several injuries could hedge on the side of caution and look to trade Anthony for fear that the injury might become more serious down the line.
