Pacers' Stuckey probable to return Wednesday

Brian Spurlock / USA Today Sports

Rodney Stuckey's sore left foot is finally feeling well enough that he may play.

The Indiana Pacers' guard has missed seven consecutive games because of the sore foot, but the team called him probable for Wednesday's outing against the Charlotte Hornets.

Stuckey appeared in the team's first four games, but did so on a limited basis due to a toe injury. He averaged 8.8 points and 2.5 assists in 13.3 minutes, numbers he should be able to build on given Indiana's dearth of scoring options.

The return of Stuckey, even if it's in a bench role, will cut into the minutes and touches of Donald Sloan and A.J. Price, who have handled most of the point guard duties in his stead. Stuckey isn't a natural point guard, but was primarily playing that role before his injury.
