NBA Game Summary - Philadelphia at San Antonio

San Antonio, TX (SportsNetwork.com) - Matt Bonner had 18 points and the San Antonio Spurs defeated the Philadelphia 76ers, 100-75, on Monday night.

Tim Duncan posted 10 points and nine rebounds, Aron Baynes tallied 12 points and nine boards and Cory Joseph added 14 points and five rebounds for the Spurs, who have won four of their last five games.

"We're still a work in progress," Duncan said. "I think we're starting to find our rhythm."

Michael Carter-Williams provided 16 points for Philadelphia, which is off to an 0-10 start.

The Sixers are off to their worst start since dropping their first 15 games to open the 1972-73 season, when they finished with an NBA-record 73 losses.

"Even having 10 losses, I think we've shown we can compete," Sixers guard Tony Wroten said.

The game was tied 4-4 early on before the Spurs went on a 12-2 run to immediately seize control.

Bonner and Danny Green nailed 3-pointers to begin the surge, then Baynes' layup capped it for an 18-6 advantage late in the first.

Nerlens Noel's turnaround jumper at the 2:35 mark of the opening frame snapped a Sixers 5:46 field-goal drought.

San Antonio led 30-13 after a quarter of play and 46-34 heading into the break.

The Spurs were up by as many as 21 in the third before settling for a 73-57 cushion heading into the fourth, where they cruised to the easy triumph.
