VIDEO: Durant takes jumpers before Thunder game

Kevin Durant shed his walking boot a little over a week ago in what was the first big step on his road to recovery. 

Sunday, ahead of the Oklahoma City Thunder's game against the Houston Rockets, Durant was on the court hoisting jumpers. 

Baby steps, for sure, but Thunder fans will take any positive news in a season in which there hasn't been much. 

Durant has yet to play this season after he was diagnosed with a fracture in his right foot in October, while point guard Russell Westbrook broke a bone in his right hand during the Thunder's second game of the season. Both are expected to be out into December. 

The injury-plagued Thunder took a 3-7 record into Sunday's game.
