Kobe says Anthony Davis can be 'one of the greatest power forwards' ever

Anthony Davis is scorching hot.

The New Orleans Pelicans' power forward has morphed into one of the game's biggest superstars.

Davis carried ridiculous averages of 24.8 points, 13 rebounds, 4.2 blocks and 2.5 steals into Wednesday's game against the Los Angeles Lakers. And he's only 21 years old.

Naturally, Lakers star Kobe Bryant - who represented the United States with Davis at the 2012 Olympics - was asked about the phenom before the two teams hit the court. It's safe to say Bryant likes what he sees.

"He's an athletic Pau Gasol," Byrant said, according to Bill Oram of the OC Register. "That's the best way I can put it. He can be one of the greatest power forwards who has ever played."

Davis has double-doubled in five of his six games and leads the league with a 35.7 player efficiency rating. He's arguably been the best player in the NBA this season.

Bryant still has it, too. The 36-year-old entered Wednesday averaging an NBA-leading 26.7 points per game.
