Kobe Bryant sets all-time record for missed field goals

Spruce Derden-USA TODAY Sports

You don't get to 31,000 points without missing a few shots.

Or 13,418 of them.

With his 13th miss of the game against the Memphis Grizzlies and 13,418th miss of his career, Kobe Bryant broke John Havlicek's all-time record for field goals missed Tuesday.

Here's history:

Snorman's post on Vine

Bryant shrugged and smiled after the game when asked about the record. "I'm a shooting guard who has played 19 years," he said.

Asked which shots he wanted back, Bryant said:

"All the ones that I had to bail the team out at the end of the shot clock. It annoys the crap out of me."

Bryant's record wasn't all he accomplished Tuesday:

Bryant finished with 28 points on 10-of-26 shooting Tuesday night, as the Lakers fell 107-102 to the Grizzlies.

Los Angeles is 1-6. It's the club's worst start since 1959-60, when they were the Minneapolis Lakers, a year before they moved west.
