Analysis:

The earliest we would expect Young to return would be sometime late next week after getting through practice and it can't come soon enough for the Lakers, who are struggling to produce offense. Last season, Young averaged 17.9 points per game on 44 percent shooting in 28 minutes in the sixth man role. He looks to slide straight back into that role when he makes his debut this season.
