Chris Paul notches season's 1st triple-double, 1st as a Clipper

Chris Paul has the first triple-double of the 2014-15 NBA season.

On Monday night, the Los Angeles Clippers point guard grabbed his 10th rebound with 3:06 to play in the fourth quarter. To that point, he had scored 11 points with 11 assists, making him the first to go 10-10-10 this year. He would finish the game with 13 points, 10 rebounds, 12 assists, and a pair of steals in the team's 107-101 victory.

Surprisingly, this is Paul's first triple-double as a Clipper and his first since December 2009 when he was a New Orleans Hornet. Paul had 11 with the Hornets and has averaged 18.5 points, 3.9 rebounds, and 9.8 assists as a Clipper but somehow never achieved the feat.

There were 46 triple-doubles league-wide last season, an average of one every 26.7 league games. Paul's comes in the league's 47th contest.
