Analysis:

With George HIll (knee) and C.J. Watson (foot) both out for multiple weeks, it appears Sloan will have a chance to prove he's capable of handling the reins for a depleted Pacers squad. The Texas A&M product started two preseason games and led the Pacers in exhibition scoring at 13.3 points per game. David West (ankle) and Paul George (leg) are also out of action, so Sloan could put up solid numbers as the short-term starter, as he figures to see plenty of minutes and scoring opportunities.
