Pacers' Hill out at least 3 weeks with knee contusion

It seemed like good news when it was discovered that George Hill's scary knee-on-knee collision with Ricky Rubio produced only a contusion.

Now the Indiana Pacers have announced that Hill will miss at least the next three weeks because of that left knee contusion.

With Paul George out for the majority of the season and Lance Stephenson long gone, the Pacers desperately need Hill's ball handling and play making to rescue an offense that already ranked in the bottom-10 with those stars in the lineup last season.

Fellow guard C.J. Watson will miss two weeks, himself, thanks to a bruised foot, so the Pacers' options in the backcourt presently consist of Rodney Stuckey, C.J. Miles and Donald Sloan.

With a sprained ankle keeping David West out to start the season as well, the Pacers are going to have to rely on a ton of subpar talent.
