NBA Game Summary - Denver at Golden State

Oakland, CA (SportsNetwork.com) - Klay Thompson put the finishing touches on a stellar preseason with 35 points in the finale as the Golden State Warriors topped the Denver Nuggets, 119-112.

Fresh off a supporting role on Team USA's gold-medal winning team at the FIBA World Cup, Thompson averaged 21.7 points on 50.9 percent from the floor and 50 percent from 3-point range in seven preseason games.

Stephen Curry added 17 points and 11 assists for Golden State, which opens the regular season in Sacramento on Oct. 29.

Rookie Jusuf Nurkic, who had an impressive preseason in his own right, scored 16 points off the bench to pace Denver, which had six players reach double figures. Randy Foye chipped in 13 but needed 14 shots to do so.

The Nuggets host Detroit, also Oct. 29, to open the regular season.
